Mag-7 Race Team Celebrating our 40th year of service

The Magnificent 7 (www.mag7race.com) has entered it's 40th year as the privateer racers' premier pit service for the three SCORE sanctioned events held each year in Baja, Mexico. By setting up completely equipped, full-service pits every 50-60 miles we have set the standard by being there when and where racers in all classes need us most.
For the 2008 race season we have several announcements that we are proud to make:
We will continue to support all classes of vehicles and racers of all experience levels. We will carry your fuel and spares to the most remote, inaccessible locations to serve the racers' needs. Nobody knows Baja like Mag-7.
Emergency-only services for all classes will now be offered at a significantly lower cost than a full-service pit. This includes rescue (when safely practicable) repair, welding, Sat-phone usage, first-aid etc but, does not include fuel.
Mag-7 will have a booth with our famous Orange-shirt contingent at the Off Road Business Association show at the Del Mar Fairgrounds Feb 9-11.
Racers who sign on with us at the show will receive 2007 prices and will be entered to win a full-service pit (excluding gasoline costs).
Rob Barnum of Barnums Pro Products (www.barnumspro.com) in Phelan, Ca will be teaming with us for all the motorcycle racers. Rob has over 20 years of Baja and SOCAL racing experience with more district and class victories and finishes (including IRON MAN) than anyone we know of.
During the ORBA show, bike racers who sign on with Barnums Pro products will also be entered to win a race-prep and "strategy session" by Rob Barnum.
We will continue to lead the way by being the only full-service, full-course pit organization to have satellite phones at all pit locations for our racers.
We have continued to invest in even more new equipment including generators, welders, tools and everything else the racer needs.
Membership in the Magnificent 7 is now open to those interested in being a part of the Brotherhood. Basic mechanical skills and a love of racing and the outdoors are all you really need. Those interested can talk to any of our members for more information.

BACK FROM THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE TECATE SCORE BAJA 1000!
Rob & Denise Barnum are back from the Baja 1000 and although Rob didn't race this event, we rented our Honda XR650R race bike and supported a team South Africans and ran pits for Mag7 Race. Wow! what an adventure!
Team 271x Petrus Uys, his brothers Hein and Jaco along with 2 friends, Victor and Andre finished 21st in thier class.
A great accomplishment for a group of guys that decided just 3 months ago that they would all fly in, rent vehicles and race the Baja of Mexico. Usually these gents are captains of large yachts for the wealthy sailing the high seas of the meterranean. You would think that might be dangerous enough to satisfy them, instead these guys played tag team down the coast to bring their team home each guy riding once and sometimes twice.
